** House Notes** Be careful if races start close to each other. You may not get the results of the race you placed a bet on before the next race starts, so do try to either watch a Live Feed of the race or “watch” the race in real-time at Betfair. **
For Tripler, OBAD, and Ratchet, I use the 3 selections generated by the HRP software, assess each one, and then say what I am going to do. Obviously, you can make your own decisions as to what you think the outcomes will be. Sometimes, the result of a previous race will dictate whether I stick with my predictions or not.
My new system, Doc’s Fav Goldmine, is coming along nicely and I have had several winners on the spin. My small stakes are increasing in size, due to a constant supply of winning selections 🙂 My DFG Bank is now really building nicely. As it’s 10% of the Betting Bank, any losses do hit hard but have always caught up rapidly before moving ahead again.
I stop betting if I hit my target of 2.5% (or as near as dammit.) Use your common sense – if you get close to your personal target, it’s your decision as to whether you want to carry on & go for it. Personally, I learned the harsh lesson of being greedy, and many times, when just under my target, I have “Gone for it,” only to lose the lot chasing bigger profits.
It’s your call as to whether you take the early odds, hoping they will then go down, or wait until nearer the off hoping the odds have increased. The key thing to remember is a winner (or winners) at odds totaling 1.25 or above will hit your Daily Target. A profit of 2.5% per day will double your Bank in a month.
Scotland’s turn today. Good luck.
STAY SAFE FELLAS.
TODAY’S “JOCKEY OF THE DAY” Mary, Queen of Stotts. 13.55. Carlisle. Verraux Eagle.
Because it’s Scotland’s go today against the Czech Republic, I am choosing Mary, Queen of Stotts as my jockette of the day. Mary doesn’t take kindly to losing and was secretly photographed dispatching her trainer the last time she lost. Although only 6 days old when she became Queen, she spent most of her early life studying “Ye Olde Racing Post” in France. This stood her in good stead for her jocketting career although she does favour a huge heavily embroidered dress to the standard shirt and jodhpurs. Although over 450 years old, Mary will take some stopping. I don’t think she will need to use her pistol after the race. Her trainer today is her old mucca, William Wallace.
TODAY’S HRP SELECTIONS
TRIPLER
13.55 – Carlisle – Verraux Eagle. (59) – The clear favourite, but there are 2 unproven opponents who have a terrific pedigree. If either of them come good, they will be pressing hard for the win. SPLIT.
17.10 – Kilbeggan – Meticulous. (67) – A long race. Ours ran really well recently and may not have reached his peak. Plenty to come, but initially, I will be looking at a SPLIT.
18.00 – Windsor – Canonized. (92) – Ours is showing really good form and has scope for further improvement. Only 4 horses in this race and I fully expect ours to do the business. A huge HRP score of 92. WIN.
OBAD
18.00 – Windsor – Canonized. (92) – See Above.
RATCHET – Instructions for use: http://bit.ly/35tpfR
DOC’S FAV GOLDMINE – All selections are in the PLACE market unless otherwise stated. Stop at a profit of 2.5% per day. (Or as near as.) Use 10% of your Bank as stake. If a loss happens, keep to the last stake and not 10% of the new, reduced Bank.
I am also showing the early Place Odds in brackets and the number of runners and the number of horses to be placed. It’s your decision as to whether or not you take the early odds or wait, hoping they will increase. The key thing to remember is a winner/winners at odds totaling 1.25 or above will hit your Daily Target. A profit of 2.5% per day will double your Bank every month.
Please be prepared to change your line of thinking – “on the hoof” so to speak – if the odds move dramatically. They may drift, thus making the selection a “No Bet”, or the odds may steam in, making it not worth taking the risk.
If you want to, you can omit any bets with odds below 1.25 (or thereabouts) and just concentrate on the bets over those odds. This reduces the number of bets but means if you get a winner, you have hit your target and can stop betting for the day, not having to risk any more money on another race. (It also means, however, if you get a loser, there will be fewer races left to recoup any losses.)
13.25 – Carlisle – Chiefs Will. (2 TBP. 1.37 – 11 – 2)
13.55 – Carlisle – Verreaux Eagle. (1.31 – 7 – 2)
17.25 – Windsor – Steel An Icon. (1.40 – 7 – 2)
18.10 – Kilbeggan – Fill The Tank. (1.21 – 13 – 3)
19.50 – Nottingham – Tregony. (1.29 – 9 – 3)
YESTERDAY’S SUMMARY
TODAY’S “JOCKEY OF THE DAY”: Eddie Murphy. 16.38. Salisbury. Deep Snow.
Eddie, pictured above (right) with the horse’s trainer, Angelo Dundee, is all set to reclaim glory in the 16.38 today at Salisbury. Eddie is a big fan of Sylvester Stallone and always has a photo of Sly on his bedroom wall, as you can see. Eddie is so confident today, he will ditch the usual silks and will be wearing his full robes and chain, as he has recently been appointed Mayor of Sandy Balls, Hampshire. Big Ed has come all the way from America and will be first to the chequered flag, robes, chain, and all. Sandy Balls will be rocking today.
RESULT – Big Ed won it at a canter. Now get back to Sandy Balls and issue a proclamation.
Tripler started off with a withdrawal, followed by 2nd place. Thank goodness for Eddie Murphy riding Deep Snow who pulled things back for us. We had a loss on OBAD with the 2nd place, but a nice win on Ratchet with a 2nd and a 1st place.
Doc’s Fav Goldmine had a Race 1 winner which made me 5.68% so why carry on? The other results went against us but like I always say, don’t get greedy – stop at or near to your 2.5% a day target. A 5.68% profit IN ONE DAY is awesome.
