** House Notes** Be careful if races start close to each other. You may not get the results of the race you placed a bet on before the next race starts, so do try to either watch a Live Feed of the race or “watch” the race in real-time at Betfair. **
For Tripler, OBAD, and Ratchet, I use the 3 selections generated by the HRP software, assess each one, and then say what I am going to do. Obviously, you can make your own decisions as to what you think the outcomes will be. Sometimes, the result of a previous race will dictate whether I stick with my predictions or not.
My new system, Doc’s Fav Goldmine, is coming along nicely and I have had many winners on the spin. My small stakes have increased in size, due to a constant supply of winning selections 🙂 My DFG Bank is now really building nicely. As the stake is 10% of the Betting Bank, any losses do hit hard but have always caught up rapidly before moving ahead again.
I ALWAYS stop betting if I hit my target of 2.5% (or as near as dammit.) Use your common sense – if you get close to your personal target, it’s your decision as to whether you want to carry on & go for it. Personally, I learned the harsh lesson of being greedy, and many times, when just under my target, I have “Gone for it,” only to lose the lot chasing bigger profits.
It’s your call as to whether you take the early odds, hoping they will then go down, or wait until nearer the off hoping the odds have increased. The key thing to remember is a winner (or winners) at odds totaling 1.25 or above will hit your Daily Target. A profit of 2.5% per day will double your Bank in a month.
As Albert Einstein is supposed to have said:
“Compound Interest is the 8th Wonder Of The World.”
STAY SAFE FELLAS.
TODAY’S JOCI y DYDD: Gareth Bale. Welsh Ball Kicker. Today. 17.00. Amsterdam.
Even though Gaz doesn’t actually ride anything, apart from his orange 1970’s Raleigh Chopper Bike, he is our JOCI y DYDD. (See how we even acknowledge Gazza in his native tongue?) Gaz, pictured above relaxing in his mountain retreat on Tristan da Cunha, is going to help the Welsh marauders see off the Danish Vikings later this afternoon. Rock on Gazza.
TODAY’S HRP SELECTIONS
TRIPLER
13.15 – Newcastle – Kingboard Star. (69) – A very short sprint race but fortunately, there are only 8 runners, so hopefully, nothing untoward to hinder a good start. Ours won comfortably 3 weeks ago, which is a nice break. WIN.
15.00 – Windsor – Canonized. (97) – Another 5-furlong sprint, this time with only 6 runners. Similar to the first race, ours had a great run 12 days ago so should be nice and refreshed to go again. WIN.
15.35 – Windsor – Century Dream. (61) – Will have to be at his very best to claim a victory and is up against some good ‘uns. Even with Michael Schumacher onboard, it will be tough. SPLIT.
OBAD
15.00 – Windsor – Canonized. (97) – See Above.
RATCHET – Instructions for use: http://bit.ly/35tpfR
DOC’S FAV GOLDMINE – All selections are in the PLACE market unless otherwise stated. Stop at a profit of 2.5% per day. (Or as near as.) Use 10% of your Bank as stake. If a loss occurs, keep to the last stake and not 10% of the new, reduced Bank.
Where possible, I am also showing the early Place Odds in brackets, along with the number of runners and the number of horses to be placed. It’s your decision as to whether or not you take the early odds or wait, hoping they will increase. The key thing to remember is a winner/winners at odds totaling 1.25 or above will hit your Daily Target. A profit of 2.5% per day will double your Bank every month.
Please be prepared to change your line of thinking – “on the hoof” so to speak – if the odds move dramatically. They may drift, thus making the selection a “No Bet”, or the odds may steam in, making it not worth taking the risk.
If you want to, you can omit any bets with odds below 1.25 (or thereabouts) and just concentrate on the bets over those odds. This reduces the number of bets but means if you get a winner, you have hit your target and can stop betting for the day, not having to risk any more money on another race. (It also means, however, if you get a loser, there will be fewer races left to recoup any losses.)
Out of all the races on today, only ONE horse meets my very strict criteria. It gives us just ONE SHOT at winning, so if you don’t want to risk your stake, that’s fine. However, ours is by far the best horse in the race, it has a great track record, it’s a short sprint, there are only 6 runners and it only needs to finish in the top 2. If it does finish in the top 2, you are looking at a nice 3+% for one or two clicks of the mouse. If it loses, it’s your decision as to whether to call it a day (which I would) or hunt around for your own selection to try and catch up a bit.
15.00 – Windsor – Canonized. (1.36 – 6 – 2)
YESTERDAY’S SUMMARY
TODAY’S “JOCKEY OF THE DAY”: “Popeye” Doyle. 17.55. Chester. Super Over.
Yet again, Popeye Doyle is our Jockette Du Jour. There’s no stopping this bloke in his quest for superstardom. He has his sights firmly set on breaking Lester Piglett’s all-time record for the number of dress changes he can manage in one week. Ride ’em Pops.
RESULT – 2nd. Great run for an old dude. Even the pork pie hat stayed secure. Magic stuff Pops.
What can I say except WOW! I went for a win in Race 1 and split bets on Races 2 & 3. All results came in exactly as predicted with a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. Great day for Tripler. When all 3 selections win on Tripler, it automatically means wins on OBAD and Ratchet. Super day.
I chose 5 runners on Doc’s Fav Goldmine and every single one of them came in. I actually slightly beat my target after Race 1, but when I looked at Race 2, it was really too good an opportunity to miss. There were only 5 runners and our selection was the clear favourite. With place odds of 1.65, I couldn’t believe my eyes. (If I had taken earlier odds, they were as high as 1.70 for the place.) It only had to finish in the Top 2 and bingo, we would be quids in. The little beauty only went and won! I ended up, after just 2 races, with a day’s profit of 10.20%. Phenomenal. I didn’t have the bottle to carry on and anyway, it goes against all my rules. If you did, you would gave filled your boots. I would love to know what you made. A great day.
