Firstly, I’d like to take this opportunity to thank Gavin and Dave for the Sheffield Masterclass yesterday. It was a wild ride over the Snake Pass but after so many days of constant rain, we even got some sunshine.
It really was a powerful day’s learning and the software proved to be a real winner. (Even though I forgot to pack my laptop power lead! What a div!) I will be studying and setting everything up during today.
It was great to meet up with Lieutenant K and Arthur, along with Gary, Alex, Nick and all the others. Good company, good food, constant supply of tea and coffee and Gav even organised pastries! (If the event had been held in Bolton, he would have organised Pasties!)

14.40 – Sedgefield – Strong Glance. 4 Runners in this rascal and Strong Glance is way out in front. My selection – WIN.
15.25 – Huntingdon – Equus Secretus. I wish owners would give horses names that Spellchecker doesn’t recognise! Only 3 runners in this one. Very close in the betting but our selection has had tougher runs and done really well. I am going for a WIN, although there’s a jockey called Deutsch on another horse and we all know how resilient Germans are! (Although he probably comes from Barnoldswick.)
17.30 – Huntingdon – Fortunate Fred. He’s the favourite and tipped to run better today than on his last outings. He’s very likely to improve, so another WIN for me. (Bloody Twiston-Davies is here again and I think he’s got it in for me. I’m hoping for a Twiston-Davies free day.)
