My new system, Doc’s Fav Goldmine, is showing plenty of promise and I have had several winners on the spin. I am only using small stakes but the signs are very promising. My DFG Bank is now really building nicely.

I stop betting if I hit my target of 2.5% (or as near as dammit.) Use your common sense – if you get close to your personal target, it’s your decision as to whether you want to carry on & go for it. Personally, I learned the harsh lesson of being greedy and many times, when just under target, I have “Gone for it,” only to lose the lot chasing bigger profits.

YESTERDAY’S SUMMARY

Terrific day’s results, considering the meeting at Ayr was abandoned. The other 2 HRP selections both won, meaning wins on Tripler & Ratchet with no bet today on OBAD. My Fav Goldmine also produced 2 x 1st places with my other selection being at the Ayr meeting which was abandoned.

12.05 – Sandown – Hudson De Grugy. Ridden by ace commentator Brian Moore, it came 2nd in a recent C & D race. I’m expecting Brian to commentate all the way to the tapes. WIN. RESULT – 1st.

12.20 – Ayr – Wetlands. It seems that this should be a straightforward victory. (Hopefully!) WIN. RESULT – Abandoned.

14.25 – Sandown – Metier. Our old mucca, Jim “You Get Nowt For Two In A Bed” Bowen steers ours along today. I think Jimbo’s being a tad optimistic with his expectations of a victory. SPLIT. RESULT – 1st.
