My new system, Doc’s Fav Goldmine, is showing plenty of promise and I have had several winners on the spin. My small stakes are increasing in size, due to a constant supply of winning selections 🙂 My DFG Bank is now really building nicely.
I stop betting if I hit my target of 2.5% (or as near as dammit.) Use your common sense – if you get close to your personal target, it’s your decision as to whether you want to carry on & go for it. Personally, I learned the harsh lesson of being greedy and many times, when just under target, I have “Gone for it,” only to lose the lot chasing bigger profits.

Another mixed day. Tripler brought us a 1st, a 5th – rubbish – and another 1st place. OBAD hit a winner but Ratchet copped out due to the crappy 5th place from Trepidation. My Fav Goldmine had 2 x places in the 1st 2 races so you should have stopped. Race 3 was a lousy 5th but you shouldn’t have gone as far as this race.
15.20 – Bangor On Dee – The Glancing Queen. (89.) Might as well only be this horse in the race. (Says he!) WIN. RESULT – 1st.
16.55 – Chelmsford – Trepidation. (84.) Really good form and expected to carry on in the same vein. Good odds too 🙂 WIN. RESULT – 5th.
17.30 – Chelmsford – Irish Times. (79.) A C & D winner but isn’t blowing my socks off. Purely for this reason, I’m going for a SPLIT. RESULT – 1st.
