30th April 2021 + Doc’s Fav Goldmine + Summary

** House Notes** Be careful if races start close to each other. You may not get the results of the race you placed a bet on before the next race starts, so do try to either watch a Live Feed of the race, or “watch” the race in real time at Betfair. **

For Tripler, OBAD and Ratchet, I use the 3 selections generated by the HRP software, assess each one and then say what I am going to do. Obviously, you can make your own decisions as to what you think the outcomes will be. Sometimes, the result of a previous race will dictate as to whether I stick with my predictions or not.

My new system, Doc’s Fav Goldmine, is showing plenty of promise and I have had several winners on the spin. My small stakes are increasing in size, due to a constant supply of winning selections 🙂 My DFG Bank is now really building nicely. Any losses do hit hard, as it’s 10% of the Betting Bank, but has always caught up rapidly before moving ahead again.

I stop betting if I hit my target of 2.5% (or as near as dammit.) Use your common sense – if you get close to your personal target, it’s your decision as to whether you want to carry on & go for it. Personally, I learned the harsh lesson of being greedy and many times, when just under target, I have “Gone for it,” only to lose the lot chasing bigger profits.

It’s your call as to whether you take the early odds, hoping they will go down, or wait until nearer the off hoping the odds have increased. The key thing to remember is a winner (or winners) at odds totalling 1.25 or above will hit your Daily Target. A profit of 2.5% per day will double you Bank in a month.

STAY SAFE FELLAS.

TODAY’S HRP SELECTIONS

TRIPLER

14.45 – Goodwood – Alpinista (79) – Luke Morris is up against Brian Moore and Popeye Doyle, 2 of the TV’s superstars. However, ours has been a consistent performer and even more is expected this season. WIN.

18.45 – Cheltenham – Garde Ville (74) – Ridden by Immy Robinson. What sort of handle is that I ask myself?? Despite her parents giving her a most embarrassing name, I’m going for Immy to shimmy to the flag, WIN.

19.15 – Cheltenham – Highway Jewel (76) – Our 5th Bee Gee brother, Bradley Gibb is in the pilot’s seat on this rascal. Has shown great promise and I reckon he will be Jive Talkin’ all the way to the chequered flag. Another WIN.

OBAD

14.45 – Goodwood – Alpinista (79) – See Above.

DOC’S FAV GOLDMINE All selections are in the PLACE market, unless otherwise stated. Stop at a profit of 2.5% per day. (Or as near as.) Use 10% of your Bank as stake. If a loss happens, keep to the last stake and not 10% of the new, reduced Bank.

I am also showing the early Place Odds in brackets, together with the number of runners and the number of horses to be placed in order to win. It’s your decision as to whether or not you take the early odds or wait, hoping they will increase. The key thing to remember is a winner at odds of 1.25 or above will hit your Daily Target. A profit of 2.5% per day will double you Bank every month.

Tomorrow, I will include a summary of April’s betting results.

14.30 – Musselburgh – Swaffham Bulbeck (1.26 – 8 – 3)

14.45 – Goodwood – Alpinista (1.25 – 4 – 2)

15.40 – Punchestown – Rewritetherules (1.29 – 7 – 2)

16.40 – Musselburgh – Kodiak Brown Bear (1.65 – 7 – 2)

18.00 – Punchestown – Bob Olinger (1.17 – 6 – 2)

19.15 – Cheltenham – Highway Jewel (1.12 – 8 – 3)

YESTERDAY’S SUMMARY

Tripler started off with 2 second places after I went for wins, but thankfully, my 3rd win selection came in. It meant I lost by one place on OBAD but Ratchet came good with all 3 selections coming in the places.

I didn’t have any of my normal data to work with on Doc’s Fav Goldmine, so – rightly or wrongly – I chose the 3 Tripler selections and went with those. They all came in although I stopped after Race 1 as I hit my target. As I have said many times before, I have learnt to discipline myself NOT to try and win lots more that my target. I have come a cropper too many times. I am perfectly happy with the slow and steady approach. 2.5% or above per day will be more than adequate after a few months. Good luck if you did go for all 3 as per Ratchet.

TRIPLER

15.35 – Lingfield – Marshall Plan (74) – Recent win and ridden by Frankie DeLabour. Plenty still to come. WIN. RESULT – 2nd.

16.25 – Redcar – Mythical Madness (77) – Really good runner and is dropped in against lesser opposition. WIN. RESULT – 2nd.

18.35 – Punchestown – Energumene (74) – Ridden by our old mucca, Pete Townsend. Only 4 runners and it’s gotta be a WIN. RESULT – 1st.

OBAD

16.25 – Redcar – Mythical Madness (77) – See Above. RESULT – 2nd.

RATCHET – RESULTS – 2nd, 2nd, 1st.

I don’t have access to my normal data, so for once, I am going for the Tripler selections in the Place Market.
