For Tripler, OBAD and Ratchet, I use the 3 selections generated by the HRP software, assess each one and then say what I am going to do. Obviously, you can make your own decisions as to what you think the outcomes will be. Sometimes, the result of a previous race will dictate as to whether I stick with my predictions or not.
My new system, Doc’s Fav Goldmine, is showing plenty of promise and I have had several winners on the spin. My small stakes are increasing in size, due to a constant supply of winning selections 🙂 My DFG Bank is now really building nicely. Any losses do hit hard, as it’s 10% of the Betting Bank, but has always caught up rapidly before moving ahead again.
I stop betting if I hit my target of 2.5% (or as near as dammit.) Use your common sense – if you get close to your personal target, it’s your decision as to whether you want to carry on & go for it. Personally, I learned the harsh lesson of being greedy and many times, when just under target, I have “Gone for it,” only to lose the lot chasing bigger profits.

19.20 – Southwell – No Ordinary Joe. (77) – Good old Nico de Triumph Bonneville is aboard our steed today. He’s up against that old funster Tommy Cannon & David Frost’s lass, Bryony. Ours is Head & Shoulders (sorry Claudia Winkelman) above the rest. WIN.

YESTERDAY’S SUMMARY
Great Day 🙂 – Wins on all 3 Blue Ribbon systems; Tripler, OBAD & Ratchet. A horrible day weather-wise, which always makes me nervous. A wet and often muddy track can sometimes make the races nothing but a lottery.
Doc’s Fav Goldmine – when it came time to place my 1st bet, the odds had drifted quite a lot and it fell outside my strict parameters. I therefore – luckily – placed my 1st bet on the 14.35 Curragh – Broome. It came in but just under my target percentage. I’ve learned the hard way about carrying on, so I stopped, falling just short of the 2.5%. I was lucky – the next horse lost! Always be aware if the odds start drifting against us & use your judgement accordingly.
TRIPLER
13.15 – Kempton – Paso Doble. (82) – Quite a competitive field is this one. Bryony Frost is up against some good ‘uns, but the horse has shown tremendous potential with a promising future. However, I’m going for a 2-2 SPLIT. RESULT – 1st.
14.35 – Curragh – Broome. (81) Ours, ridden by Brian Moore, the football commentator, has already beaten some of these others and I fully expect him to repeat the process. WIN. RESULT – 1st.
16.41 – Beverley – Haija. (69) Quite a difficult race to read. This is the 4th attempt to win so I’m not overly confident, even though there are only 4 runners. Not bad place odds, so SPLIT. RESULT – 2nd.
