5th May 2021 + Doc’s Fav Goldmine + Summary

** House Notes** Be careful if races start close to each other. You may not get the results of the race you placed a bet on before the next race starts, so do try to either watch a Live Feed of the race, or “watch” the race in real time at Betfair. **

For Tripler, OBAD and Ratchet, I use the 3 selections generated by the HRP software, assess each one and then say what I am going to do. Obviously, you can make your own decisions as to what you think the outcomes will be. Sometimes, the result of a previous race will dictate as to whether I stick with my predictions or not.

My new system, Doc’s Fav Goldmine, is showing plenty of promise and I have had several winners on the spin. My small stakes are increasing in size, due to a constant supply of winning selections 🙂 My DFG Bank is now really building nicely. Any losses do hit hard, as it’s 10% of the Betting Bank, but has always caught up rapidly before moving ahead again.

I stop betting if I hit my target of 2.5% (or as near as dammit.) Use your common sense – if you get close to your personal target, it’s your decision as to whether you want to carry on & go for it. Personally, I learned the harsh lesson of being greedy and many times, when just under target, I have “Gone for it,” only to lose the lot chasing bigger profits.

It’s your call as to whether you take the early odds, hoping they will go down, or wait until nearer the off hoping the odds have increased. The key thing to remember is a winner (or winners) at odds totalling 1.25 or above will hit your Daily Target. A profit of 2.5% per day will double you Bank in a month.

STAY SAFE FELLAS.

TODAY’S HRP SELECTIONS

TRIPLER

14.00 – Newton Abbot – Tulin. (92) – Three on the bounce for this horse, with David Frost’s lass, Bryony on board? I think so – & it doesn’t need much improvement either. WIN.

17.10 – Kempton – Thunder Love. (94) – On debut last month, this was a C & D winner. Up against Popeye Doyle & Neighbours’ very own Harold Bishop. I think ours will break the tape 1st. WIN.

19.50 – Fontwell – Credo. (84) – Won in style 3 weeks ago. The only drawback I see is Dads’ Army’s Godfrey is in the saddle. They may have to swap the it for a commode. I’m initially looking – if we get this far – at a WIN, but if it means we hit target, I will look at a SPLIT.

OBAD

17.10 – Kempton – Thunder Love. (94) – See Above.

DOC’S FAV GOLDMINE

All selections are in the PLACE market, unless otherwise stated. Stop at a profit of 2.5% per day. (Or as near as.) Use 10% of your Bank as stake. If a loss happens, keep to the last stake and not 10% of the new, reduced Bank.

I am also showing the early Place Odds in brackets, together with the number of runners and the number of horses to be placed in order to win. It’s your decision as to whether or not you take the early odds or wait, hoping they will increase. The key thing to remember is a winner/winners at odds of 1.25 or above will hit your Daily Target. A profit of 2.5% per day will double you Bank every month.

Please be prepared to change your line of thinking – “on the hoof” so to speak – if the odds move dramatically. They may drift, thus making the selection a “No Bet”, or the odds may steam in, making it not worth taking the risk.

13.00 – Newton Abbot – Southfield Harvest. (1.16 – 5 – 2)

13.30 – Newton Abbot – Dragon Bones. (1.16 – 9 – 3)

14.00 – Newton Abbot – Tulin. (1.15 – 10 – 3)

14.25 – Kelso – Lesser. (1.17 – 12 – 3)

17.10 – Kempton – Thunder Love. (1.21 – 7 – 2)

19.50 – Fontwell – Credo. (1.13 – 7 – 2)

YESTERDAY’S SUMMARY

Not a bad day at the office. Tripler got a split win on Race 1, lost on Race 2 but won again on Race 3.OBAD lost out with the 2nd place, but Ratchet was in the pink with all 3 horses placing.

Doc’s Fav Goldmine continued the excellent run of form with all 4 selections winning for us. Race 1 came in under my target so I carried on to Race 2, which took me over. I stopped for the day. It is SO tempting to carry on but my discipline has improved massively. As Gav says, we are Investors, NOT Punters.

TRIPLER

13.00 – Lingfield – Anmaat. (75) – Came 2nd on debut recently & this is a very close novice race. SPLIT. RESULT – 1st.

13.30 – Lingfield – Rebel Territory. (89) – Billy “V-8” Buick’s nag ran really well last time out, which was in fact a very strong field. I reckon this experience, combined with Billy Boy’s V-8 motor will power to victory. WIN. RESULT – 2nd.

19.20 – Southwell – No Ordinary Joe. (77) – Good old Nico de Triumph Bonneville is aboard our steed today. He’s up against that old funster Tommy Cannon & David Frost’s lass, Bryony. Ours is Head & Shoulders (sorry Claudia Winkelman) above the rest. WIN. RESULT – 1st.

OBAD

13.30 – Lingfield – Rebel Territory. (89) – See Above. RESULT – 2nd.

RATCHET – RESULTS – 1st, 2nd,  1st.
