** House Notes** Be careful if races start close to each other. You may not get the results of the race you placed a bet on before the next race starts, so do try to either watch a Live Feed of the race or “watch” the race in real-time at Betfair. **
For Tripler, OBAD, and Ratchet, I use the 3 selections generated by the HRP software, assess each one, and then say what I am going to do. Obviously, you can make your own decisions as to what you think the outcomes will be. Sometimes, the result of a previous race will dictate whether I stick with my predictions or not.
My new system, Doc’s Fav Goldmine, is coming along nicely and I have had several winners on the spin. My small stakes are increasing in size, due to a constant supply of winning selections 🙂 My DFG Bank is now really building nicely. As it’s 10% of the Betting Bank, any losses do hit hard but have always caught up rapidly before moving ahead again.
I stop betting if I hit my target of 2.5% (or as near as dammit.) Use your common sense – if you get close to your personal target, it’s your decision as to whether you want to carry on & go for it. Personally, I learned the harsh lesson of being greedy, and many times, when just under my target, I have “Gone for it,” only to lose the lot chasing bigger profits.
It’s your call as to whether you take the early odds, hoping they will then go down, or wait until nearer the off hoping the odds have increased. The key thing to remember is a winner (or winners) at odds totaling 1.25 or above will hit your Daily Target. A profit of 2.5% per day will double your Bank in a month.
STAY SAFE FELLAS.
TODAY’S “JOCKEY OF THE DAY”: Jim Bowen. 17.40. Uttoxeter. Barely Famous.
Big Jim, that old funmeister from the last millennium, is today’s Jockey of the Day. Jim, pictured above with 3 of his biggest fans, was often surrounded by a bevvy of beauties in his early life. His stock reply to all these offers from young ladies was: “You get nowt for two in a bed.” Good old Jim; a gentleman to the end. He will see off the opposition today as he concentrates solely on getting to the tapes first so he can claim his speedboat. Come on Jim.
TODAY’S HRP SELECTIONS
TRIPLER
17.40 – Uttoxeter – Barely Famous. (64) – Features our Jockey of the Day. Had a great run recently at Ffos Las and looks for even more improvement. With Big Jim on board, I can’t see anything other than a WIN.
19.10 – Uttoxeter – Olympic Conqueror. (76) – Sam Twist Your Arm-Davies rides ours and I personally think victory may be beckoning. Massive threat from Edinburgh Castle. (The horse, not the actual stone structure itself) but I think Sam will do it. WIN.
20.40 – Uttoxeter – Pop Mistress. (61) – Now that its’ main rival – Blue Collar Glory – has been withdrawn, I think this will provide our 3rd victory of the day. Daniel Hiskett is our jocky. Dan changed his surname from Biskett as he thought everyone in the weighing room would laugh at him. WIN.
OBAD
19.10 – Uttoxeter – Olympic Conqueror. (76) – See Above.
RATCHET – Instructions for use: http://bit.ly/35tpfR
DOC’S FAV GOLDMINE – All selections are in the PLACE market unless otherwise stated. Stop at a profit of 2.5% per day. (Or as near as.) Use 10% of your Bank as stake. If a loss happens, keep to the last stake and not 10% of the new, reduced Bank.
I am also showing the early Place Odds in brackets and the number of runners and the number of horses to be placed. It’s your decision as to whether or not you take the early odds or wait, hoping they will increase. The key thing to remember is a winner/winners at odds totaling 1.25 or above will hit your Daily Target. A profit of 2.5% per day will double your Bank every month.
Please be prepared to change your line of thinking – “on the hoof” so to speak – if the odds move dramatically. They may drift, thus making the selection a “No Bet”, or the odds may steam in, making it not worth taking the risk.
If you want to, you can omit any bets with odds below 1.25 (or thereabouts) and just concentrate on the bets over those odds. This reduces the number of bets but means if you get a winner, you have hit your target and can stop betting for the day, not having to risk any more money on another race. (It also means, however, if you get a loser, there will be fewer races left to recoup any losses.)
13.00 – Nottingham – Love De Vega. (1.48 – 6 – 2)
15.55 – Nottingham – Hail Sezer. (1.40 – 9 – 3)
16.15 – Leopardstown – Moony Beams. (1.16 – 7 – 2)
16.40 – Newbury – Zikany. (1.28 – 8 – 3)
17.40 – Uttoxeter – Barely Famous. (1.16 – 6 – 2)
YESTERDAY’S SUMMARY
TODAY’S “JOCKEY OF THE DAY”: Tony Curtis. 14.00. Haydock. White Jasmine.
Top jock Tony Curtis – seen above with his Dad, Kirk Curtis – as they mucked out the stables earlier. Kirk, strangely enough, loves the smell of horse manure. Tony will “Persuade” his horse over the line in first position. Lord Brett Sinclair will then carry him to the Winner’s Enclosure. Then all 3 will quaff a magnum of Bollinger ’62.
OUTCOME – Unfortunately, our Tony was rubbish. He admitted afterwards that due to his total embarrassment, he was thinking of changing his name to Danny Wilde. His Dad, Kirk Curtis, the old mucker-outer, argued it would be better to change his name to Jack Wild, the Artful Dodger. Get to grips Tony boy or else the Vikings will hunt you down!
What a terrific day for the 3 Blue Ribbon systems, Tripler, OBAD and Ratchet. First places on all the selected races. Top stuff!
Doc’s Fav Goldmine was a different story. Race 1 came 2nd and gave me a 2.94% profit. BUT I once again got carried away. I looked at Race 2 and thought it was a good shout, so I had a bet on it. Sod’s bloody law, it came 4th!! That meant rather than taking a nice first race winner which beat my target, I had no option but to carry on betting for the rest of the day. LUCKILY – and I MEAN LUCKILY – all the other selections came in for me. I actually finished the day up by 4.27%. Sounds good? Yea, but it’s REALLY not worth the anxiety of doing this. I WILL stop at or around my 2.5% target.
