My new system, Doc’s Fav Goldmine, is showing plenty of promise and I have had several winners on the spin. My small stakes are increasing in size, due to a constant supply of winning selections 🙂 My DFG Bank is now really building nicely.

I stop betting if I hit my target of 2.5% (or as near as dammit.) Use your common sense – if you get close to your personal target, it’s your decision as to whether you want to carry on & go for it. Personally, I learned the harsh lesson of being greedy and many times, when just under target, I have “Gone for it,” only to lose the lot chasing bigger profits.

YESTERDAY’S SUMMARY

Not our finest of days, but this damn weather had to go & stick its’ oar in. Saltonstall was a non runner in Race 2 and the 3rd race meeting at Chelmsford was another to fall foul of the God awful weather. My selection of a split for race one was 1 out and lost. OBAD never started and Ratchet got clobbered because of the non runner & the abandoned meeting. A ray of light shone through on my Fav Goldmine with 2 winners and a 2nd place. (Target should have been hit on Race 1.)

15.15 – Southwell – Blackcurrant (71) – Ridden by the remarkable Hollie Doyle. Even though the lady is a class act, I’m going for a SPLIT. RESULT – 3rd.

17.30 – Dundalk – Saltonstall (72) – The Scottish brother of Brookside’s creator, C J MacRedmond, is all set to clear up in this race. WIN. RESULT – Non Runner.
