My new system, Doc’s Fav Goldmine, is showing plenty of promise and I have had several winners on the spin. My small stakes are increasing in size, due to a constant supply of winning selections 🙂 My DFG Bank is now really building nicely.
For Tripler, OBAD and Ratchet, I use the 3 selections generated by the HRP software, assess each one and then say what I am going to do. Obviously, you can make your own decisions as to what you think the outcomes will be. Sometimes, the result of a previous race will dictate as to whether I stick with my predictions or not.
I stop betting if I hit my target of 2.5% (or as near as dammit.) Use your common sense – if you get close to your personal target, it’s your decision as to whether you want to carry on & go for it. Personally, I learned the harsh lesson of being greedy and many times, when just under target, I have “Gone for it,” only to lose the lot chasing bigger profits.
I am testing a new system – Doc’s Bank Builder. Similar to Doc’s Fav Goldmine, all bets are in the place market and hopefully, it is winning string to the bow.

14.00 – Naas – Conflated (72) – Failed last time out when a lot was expected of him. Has been given a rest and should perform much better, especially with a drop in grade. WIN.
14.07 – Warwick – Calico (112) – Harry’s on board again and should come up trumps against the likes of Tommy Cannon and David Bellamy. Won 2 weeks ago and this is a drop in grade. WIN.

YESTERDAY’S SUMMARY
Not our finest day but it had to happen. All 3 Tripler selections lost, which meant I also lost on OBAD and Ratchet. Enough said. Losing days happen. On to tomorrow and better things ahead.
Doc’s Fav Goldmine didn’t have any selections today as an emergency took place before I had the time to sit down and analyse the day’s races.
Doc’s Bank Buider. It was the only bright bit of the day. I had 3 selections – the first 2 both won, so you should have stopped your betting for the day. If you were greedy – which I have conditioned myself NOT to be, you would have blown the first 2 results. It took me a long time, but I now ALWAYS stop when I hit or get very close, to my day’s target.

12.20 – Wolverhampton – Steelriver (66) – 2nd favourite but the leading horse, Requinto Dawn, has promised a lot & come up short. WIN. RESULT – 3rd. LOSS.
15.00 – Sandown – Rainyday Woman (79) – A VERY large field which always makes me nervous. Only takes one of the others to have a decent day & everything goes T*ts Up. I’m playing a bit safer & going for a 2 – 2 SPLIT. RESULT – 10th. LOSS.
15.20 – Navan – Velvet Elvis (59) – Gilbert O’Sullivan is our pilot today & this steed has also much room for improvement as does Gars De Sceaux. As above, I’m going for a 2 – 2 SPLIT. RESULT – 3rd. LOSS.
