14th May 2021 + Doc’s Fav Goldmine + Summary

** House Notes** Be careful if races start close to each other. You may not get the results of the race you placed a bet on before the next race starts, so do try to either watch a Live Feed of the race, or “watch” the race in real time at Betfair. **

For Tripler, OBAD and Ratchet, I use the 3 selections generated by the HRP software, assess each one and then say what I am going to do. Obviously, you can make your own decisions as to what you think the outcomes will be. Sometimes, the result of a previous race will dictate as to whether I stick with my predictions or not.

My new system, Doc’s Fav Goldmine, is showing plenty of promise and I have had several winners on the spin. My small stakes are increasing in size, due to a constant supply of winning selections 🙂 My DFG Bank is now really building nicely. Any losses do hit hard, as it’s 10% of the Betting Bank, but has always caught up rapidly before moving ahead again.

I stop betting if I hit my target of 2.5% (or as near as dammit.) Use your common sense – if you get close to your personal target, it’s your decision as to whether you want to carry on & go for it. Personally, I learned the harsh lesson of being greedy and many times, when just under target, I have “Gone for it,” only to lose the lot chasing bigger profits.

It’s your call as to whether you take the early odds, hoping they will go down, or wait until nearer the off hoping the odds have increased. The key thing to remember is a winner (or winners) at odds totalling 1.25 or above will hit your Daily Target. A profit of 2.5% per day will double you Bank in a month.

STAY SAFE FELLAS.

TODAY’S HRP SELECTIONS Not a huge selection today, so let’s see what we can come up with.

TRIPLER

14.00 – Leopardstown – Celtic Times. (47) – How will this horse cope with Bernard Manning on board? It should win, but I never have much luck with the Irish races, so I’m playing it cautiously and going for a SPLIT.

14.55 – Newbury – Beheld. (62) – A 7 furlong dash, so let’s hope it gets a good start. If it survives the mayhem of the first few hundred yards, there’s a top opponent in Badlands to be wary of. I’m going for a SPLIT.

15.10 – York – Sir Ron Priestly. (50) – Franny Norton Commando rides ours and despite recent good performances, I’m wary as it’s quite a strong field. SPLIT.

OBAD

14.55 – Beheld – Beheld. (62) – See Above.

RATCHET – Instructions for use: http://bit.ly/35tpfR

DOC’S FAV GOLDMINE – All selections are in the PLACE market, unless otherwise stated. Stop at a profit of 2.5% per day. (Or as near as.) Use 10% of your Bank as stake. If a loss happens, keep to the last stake and not 10% of the new, reduced Bank.

I am also showing the early Place Odds in brackets, together with the number of runners and the number of horses to be placed. It’s your decision as to whether or not you take the early odds or wait, hoping they will increase. The key thing to remember is a winner/winners at odds totalling 1.25 or above will hit your Daily Target. A profit of 2.5% per day will double you Bank every month.

Please be prepared to change your line of thinking – “on the hoof” so to speak – if the odds move dramatically. They may drift, thus making the selection a “No Bet”, or the odds may steam in, making it not worth taking the risk.

If you want to, you can omit any bets with odds below 1.25 (or thereabouts) and just concentrate on the bets over those odds. This reduces the number of bets you will do but means if you get a winner, you have hit your target and can stop betting for the day, not having to risk any more money on another race.

14.10 – York – Snow Lantern. (1.33 – 8 – 3)

14.55 – Newbury – Beheld. (1.25 – 11 – 3)

15.20 – Newmarket – Derab. (1.14 – 13 – 3)

YESTERDAY’S SUMMARY

Topsy turvy sort of a day. We were let down dreadfully in Race 1 when our selection came 8th out of 8 runners. Not good. Hopefully, you fared a lot better in Race 2 with a nice win. Race 3 came 2nd so didn’t provide us with that win. The Race 2 result should have got you covered on Tripler. Shantou Flyer came 2nd so cost us on OBAD, and the results on Ratchet pulled some back after the 1st race debacle. I hope the whole team involved with the horse had a good heart to heart to find out what went so drastically wrong. It’s not the animal’s fault.

Doc’s Fav Goldmine had a non runner in Race 1, but with the other 3 selections coming in the places, we did really well. I was under target after Race 1, so with the place win in Race 2, I finished 6.21% up on the day. Not bad when you can get a return of over 6% IN ONE DAY!!!
