** House Notes: Be careful if races start close to each other. You may not get the results of the race you placed a bet on before the next race starts, so do try to either watch a Live Feed of the race, or “watch” the race in real time at Betfair. **
My new system, Doc’s Fav Goldmine, is showing plenty of promise and I have had several winners on the spin. My small stakes are increasing in size, due to a constant supply of winning selections 🙂 My DFG Bank is now really building nicely.
I stop betting if I hit my target of 2.5% (or as near as dammit.) Use your common sense – if you get close to your personal target, it’s your decision as to whether you want to carry on & go for it. Personally, I learned the harsh lesson of being greedy and many times, when just under target, I have “Gone for it,” only to lose the lot chasing bigger profits.
STAY SAFE FELLAS.
TODAY’S HRP SELECTIONS
TRIPLER
13.35 – Carlisle – Castle Rushen (82) – Not run for a few months and also concedes weight. However, the horse’s track record is undeniable. WIN.
15.15 – Catterick – Wishing And Hoping (97) – Way out in front and has a huge HRP score. Also, the jockey is that BBC Newsreader, Huw Edwards. Huw knows his way round a good story. WIN.
16.55 – Kempton – Mack The Knife (86) – Hard to oppose this selection and he will cut through the opposition 🙂 WIN.
OBAD
15.15 – Catterick – Wishing And Hoping (97) – See Above.
RATCHET – Instructions for use: http://bit.ly/35tpfR3.
DOC’S FAV GOLDMINE – All selections are in the PLACE market, unless otherwise stated. Stop at a profit of 2.5% per day. (Or as near as.) I use the Platinum Staking Plan.
13.45 – Catterick – Wild Polly.
14.05 – Carlisle – Dreams Of Home.
15.25 – Kempton – Kestenna.
YESTERDAY’S SUMMARY
If you’d have got for 3 x Splits on Tripler, you would be in the money! However, all my choices blew out, which also meant a loss on OBAD. Ratchet was the winner today with all 3 horses finishing in the Places. My Fav Goldmine had a winner in the first race, so if you play by my rules, you should have stopped after that race. Good job cos Race 2 was abysmal!
TRIPLER
14.00 – Thurles – Whatsnotoknow (77) – A large field and we’re up against The Who’s finest, Pete Townsend – again. (Pete is spending a lot of time in The Emerald Isle for tax purposes.) I’m hesitant, because of the large field, but will go for a WIN. RESULT – 3rd. Pete Townsend only went & scored another Number 1 Pop Pickers. 🙁
14.50 – Warwick – Sky Pirate (79) – This horse has been running longer distance races but since he came down to 2 miles, he has blitzed the opposition. Not favourite but I’m going for a WIN. RESULT – 2nd.
15.25 – Warwick – Paul’s Saga – (72) – A horse from the other side of the Channel. I’m tipping this French star to come through. WIN. RESULT – 2nd.
OBAD
14.50 – Warwick – Sky Pirate (79) – See Above. RESULT – 2nd.
RATCHET – RESULTS – 3rd, 2nd & 2nd.
DOC’S FAV GOLDMINE – All selections are in the PLACE market, unless otherwise stated. Stop at a profit of 2.5% per day. (Or as near as.) I use the Platinum Staking Plan.
14.50 – Warwick – Allmankind. RESULT – 1st.
17.10 – Thurles – The Bandit. RESULT – 8th.
Hi Doc,
Been a member for around a month and found your daily posts very useful.
I’ve been using platinum staking with the tripler selections as per Gavs previous success on the daily use post.
I’ve also been using a 5% ratchet to back your fav selections in the place market so thank you for taking the time to post.
If I could maybe check a couple of things, personally my Tripler has seen the max run of 7 losers hit a cpl days ago and is now almost there again, have you found it a particularly different or bad time for these selections?
I also wanted to check staking with your favs to place selections, the day previous to yesterday saw 2 debits and I managed to get 1.18 on Allmankind in the place market for yesterdays race, can I check what staking/system you’re using for these as I saw you stopped after the first race yesterday whereas using 5% to target 2.5% as I do I unfortunately had another loser.
Thanks for your time!
Hi Zen. Yea, I have had bad losing runs as well. It makes you feel down, but the way I look at it, there’s always tomorrow, and as Colonel Tom said: “Tomorrow’s going to be a good day” 🙂
With regards to odd, as I am in no way a horse expert – I don’t now a horse’s head from it’s arse! – if the odds are 1.18, it won’t hit target. BUT it’s an 18 percent return on investment, which in my eyes, is pretty damn good.
When a really strong horse loses, it really “does my head in.” I can’t understand why such a favourite can be beaten by some donkey at 50/1.
