** House Notes** Be careful if races start close to each other. You may not get the results of the race you placed a bet on before the next race starts, so do try to either watch a Live Feed of the race or “watch” the race in real-time at Betfair. **
For Tripler, OBAD, and Ratchet, I use the 3 selections generated by the HRP software, assess each one, and then say what I am going to do. Obviously, you can make your own decisions as to what you think the outcomes will be. Sometimes, the result of a previous race will dictate whether I stick with my predictions or not.
My new system, Doc’s Fav Goldmine, is coming along nicely and I have had several winners on the spin. My small stakes are increasing in size, due to a constant supply of winning selections 🙂 My DFG Bank is now really building nicely. As it’s 10% of the Betting Bank, any losses do hit hard but have always caught up rapidly before moving ahead again.
I stop betting if I hit my target of 2.5% (or as near as dammit.) Use your common sense – if you get close to your personal target, it’s your decision as to whether you want to carry on & go for it. Personally, I learned the harsh lesson of being greedy, and many times, when just under my target, I have “Gone for it,” only to lose the lot chasing bigger profits.
It’s your call as to whether you take the early odds, hoping they will then go down, or wait until nearer the off hoping the odds have increased. The key thing to remember is a winner (or winners) at odds totaling 1.25 or above will hit your Daily Target. A profit of 2.5% per day will double your Bank in a month.
STAY SAFE FELLAS.
Top marks to Wales. A really great display.
TODAY’S “JOCKEY OF THE DAY”: Roy Keane. 16.45 AND 17.55. Leopardstown. Blazing Star AND Diderot.
What more can be said about our Jockey of the Day? Because Roy is so good, he’s going to perform for us twice today. Softly spoken and a really gentle footballer in his time, Roy has taken to horse racing like a duck to WD40. Roy is such a charming gentleman, he even asks permission to go to the toilet. We have an example above of Roy asking his former boss, Dame Shiela Ferguson if it would be OK for him to go for a quick Number One. Such manners! Roy will charm his way on both steeds today and will graciously accept the Winner’s Trophies. Roy normally celebrates with a chilled bottle of Evian Sparkling Water. You’re the man Roy. Go eat ’em.
TODAY’S HRP SELECTIONS
TRIPLER
15.05 – Ascot – Mohaafeth. (86) – A quality horse, as the HRP score suggests. He was withdrawn from a recent race because the ground didn’t agree with him. This time, it should be ideal. I can’t see past a WIN.
16.15 – Ascot – Stradivarius. (71) – This is THE big one; the Gold Cup. This horse has dominated for the past 3 years and with Dettori on board, I can only see one outcome. WIN.
20.20 – Ffos Las – Equus Dancer. (86) – A true warrior, Equus Dancer is up against a mightily talented horse in The Bomber Liston. Today’s jockey, old funmeister himself, Jim Bowen, will need more than all his guile to win this one, so I’m going for a SPLIT.
OBAD
15.05 – Ascot – Mohaafeth. (86) – See Above.
RATCHET – Instructions for use: http://bit.ly/35tpfR
DOC’S FAV GOLDMINE – All selections are in the PLACE market unless otherwise stated. Stop at a profit of 2.5% per day. (Or as near as.) Use 10% of your Bank as stake. If a loss happens, keep to the last stake and not 10% of the new, reduced Bank.
I am also showing the early Place Odds in brackets and the number of runners and the number of horses to be placed. It’s your decision as to whether or not you take the early odds or wait, hoping they will increase. The key thing to remember is a winner/winners at odds totaling 1.25 or above will hit your Daily Target. A profit of 2.5% per day will double your Bank every month.
Please be prepared to change your line of thinking – “on the hoof” so to speak – if the odds move dramatically. They may drift, thus making the selection a “No Bet”, or the odds may steam in, making it not worth taking the risk.
If you want to, you can omit any bets with odds below 1.25 (or thereabouts) and just concentrate on the bets over those odds. This reduces the number of bets but means if you get a winner, you have hit your target and can stop betting for the day, not having to risk any more money on another race. (It also means, however, if you get a loser, there will be fewer races left to recoup any losses.)
16.45 – Leopardstown – Blazing Star. (1.26 – 12 – 3)
17.55 – Leopardstown – Diderot. (1.40 – 7 – 2)
18.40 – Lingfield – Black Sparrow. (1.31 – 6 – 2)
18.50 – Ffos Las – Ballinsker. (1.71 – 5 – 2)
20.20 – Ffos Las – Equus Dancer. (1.20 – 5 – 2)
YESTERDAY’S SUMMARY
TODAY’S “JOCKEY OF THE DAY”: Sir Michael Fallon. KCB. 17.50. Chelmsford. Sanitiser.
Former Secretary of State for Defence, Big Sir Mike has taken his hobby of riding the donkeys on Blackpool beach a stage further. He now competes in serious horse racing. Mike conjoured up all his experience to land this race and will make his racing debut a winning one. Go for it, Sir Mike.
RESULT – A great run by an ancient politician. Get your robes on Sir Mike. 1st place my boy.
Not a bad day all told. The 3rd place in Race 1 on Tripler finished out of the places, but the 2nd place split and the 1st place win brought things around. OBAD was a split choice and it finished 2nd. Ratchet lost on Race 1 but caught up some way on the following 2 races.
Doc’s Fav Goldmine had 3 main selections and a 4th, additional selection if you wanted another bet. All 4 finished in the places so a great day’s results. I stopped after Race 1 but you filled your boots if you carried on.
