1st June 2021 + Doc’s Fav Goldmine + Summary + May Analysis

** House Notes** Be careful if races start close to each other. You may not get the results of the race you placed a bet on before the next race starts, so do try to either watch a Live Feed of the race, or “watch” the race in real time at Betfair. **

For Tripler, OBAD and Ratchet, I use the 3 selections generated by the HRP software, assess each one and then say what I am going to do. Obviously, you can make your own decisions as to what you think the outcomes will be. Sometimes, the result of a previous race will dictate as to whether I stick with my predictions or not.

My new system, Doc’s Fav Goldmine, is showing plenty of promise and I have had several winners on the spin. My small stakes are increasing in size, due to a constant supply of winning selections 🙂 My DFG Bank is now really building nicely. Any losses do hit hard, as it’s 10% of the Betting Bank, but has always caught up rapidly before moving ahead again.

I stop betting if I hit my target of 2.5% (or as near as dammit.) Use your common sense – if you get close to your personal target, it’s your decision as to whether you want to carry on & go for it. Personally, I learned the harsh lesson of being greedy and many times, when just under target, I have “Gone for it,” only to lose the lot chasing bigger profits.

It’s your call as to whether you take the early odds, hoping they will then go down, or wait until nearer the off hoping the odds have increased. The key thing to remember is a winner (or winners) at odds totalling 1.25 or above will hit your Daily Target. A profit of 2.5% per day will double you Bank in a month.

STAY SAFE FELLAS.

TODAY’S “JOCKEY OF THE DAY”: Arthur Conan Doyle. 14.00. Leicester. Neptune Legend.

TODAY’S HRP SELECTIONS

TRIPLER

14.00 – Leicester – Neptune Legend. (59) – 13 runners in a mad dash to the tape. Our jockey is rather an old chap; Arthur Conan Doyle. He’s not really one for the sprints is Arthur. Could the old geezer pull it off? (The race, not his moustache.). One mistake and it’s Goodbye Vienna. SPLIT.

16.40 – Tipperary – Spanish Tenor. (54) – Only 7 furlongs and FIFTEEN runners. Brrrrrrrrrrr! Another SPLIT.

18.00 – Yarmouth – Bellarina Lady. (64) – Yet another short sprint, this time with 12 hopefuls. Sorry to be a whimp, but it’s gotta be yet another SPLIT.

OBAD

18.00 – Yarmouth – Bellarina Lady. (64) – See Above.

DOC’S FAV GOLDMINE

All selections are in the PLACE market, unless otherwise stated. Stop at a profit of 2.5% per day. (Or as near as.) Use 10% of your Bank as stake. If a loss happens, keep to the last stake and not 10% of the new, reduced Bank.

I am also showing the early Place Odds in brackets, together with the number of runners and the number of horses to be placed. It’s your decision as to whether or not you take the early odds or wait, hoping they will increase. The key thing to remember is a winner/winners at odds totalling 1.25 or above will hit your Daily Target. A profit of 2.5% per day will double you Bank every month.

Please be prepared to change your line of thinking – “on the hoof” so to speak – if the odds move dramatically. They may drift, thus making the selection a “No Bet”, or the odds may steam in, making it not worth taking the risk.

If you want to, you can omit any bets with odds below 1.25 (or thereabouts) and just concentrate on the bets over those odds. This reduces the number of bets but means if you get a winner, you have hit your target and can stop betting for the day, not having to risk any more money on another race. (It also means however, if you get a loser, there will be less races left to recoup any losses.)

14.35 – Leicester – Muhalhel. (1.12 – 7 – 2)

16.50 – Leicester – Persaria. (1.45 – 10 – 3)

18.30 – Yarmouth – Imperial Force. (1.21 – 6 – 2)

** Why do horses have such weird names? My Spellchecker always goes into overdrive when I do my posts!! **

YESTERDAY’S SUMMARY

Fortunately, I chose splits on the first 2 races on Tripler and the horses finished 3rd and 1st respectively. So, that should have been enough to stop before Race 3’s abysmal 5th position. Lunar Display was a poor performer and cost us on OBAD, but Ratchet should have been ok with the 3rd and 1st positions.

Once more, DFG’s selections, of which there were five, all finished in the places. A terrific end to a wonderful month of Place Betting. I hit 4.7% profit after Race 1 so that was the end of the day’s betting for me. If you carried on, you would have had a bumper day. 🙂 These days, I simply stop after hitting target. I don’t want to tempt fate – I have lost out too many times.

Top stuff and full marks go to Popeye Doyle, who brought home the bacon in the 15.55 at Windsor. I think he carried on after the race ended and visited Her Maj for a quick brew.

MAY’S “DOC’S FAV GOLDMINE” SUMMARY

Well, as I stated in last month’s analysis, April started disastrously with 5 losing bets out of the first 6. (2 days!!) However, by the end of April and sticking rigidly to Gav’s mental approach, my Bank had grown to 175.28%. Not too shabby considering the horrendous start to the month.

In May, I placed a total of 40 bets, of which 36 were winners. The last race I placed a bet on was the 13.20 at Cartmel on May 31st. which yet again, won for me. My profit for the month had grown to a staggering 228.70%! Well above my target, which is to try and double my Bank every month.

Taking it a little further, my spreadsheet tells me that since April 1st, even with the dreadful first 2 days, my Bank currently stands at a profit of 400.96%. I know that to some of you, that kind of profit will pale into insignificance compared to the returns you have been obtaining, but for me, as a TOTAL SCEPITIC when I first started, those figures have addled my brain. As I always say, if I left money with the Halifax, I would be receiving 0.01% A YEAR! To quadruple my bank after only 2 months is totally mind blowing for me. (Especially as I don’t know a horse’s fetlock from its arse.)

A MASSIVE thanks to Gav and his team for giving me the opportunity for a brighter future and that hopefully, I won’t have to rely solely on my State Pension and a couple of small Royal Mail pensions to keep our heads above water. Here’s hoping for a similar June and hopefully, Christmas will be a fabulous one for our family this year.

Good luck to each and every one of you. 🙂 🙂
