My new system, Doc’s Fav Goldmine, is showing plenty of promise and I have had several winners on the spin. My small stakes are increasing in size, due to a constant supply of winning selections 🙂 My DFG Bank is now really building nicely.

I use the 3 selections generated by the HRP software, assess each one and then say what I am going to do. Obviously, you can make your own decisions as to what you think the outcomes will be. Sometimes, the result of a previous race will dictate as to whether I stick with my predictions or not.

I stop betting if I hit my target of 2.5% (or as near as dammit.) Use your common sense – if you get close to your personal target, it’s your decision as to whether you want to carry on & go for it. Personally, I learned the harsh lesson of being greedy and many times, when just under target, I have “Gone for it,” only to lose the lot chasing bigger profits.

YESTERDAY’S SUMMARY

Well, Pozo Emery was winning with 2 to go & was caught and overtaken by 10/1 outsider. Bobbins! These narrow defeats are costing me dosh! Race 2’s 4th place  was no good as it meant finishing out of the places. The 2 in front were 7/1 & 9/1. Yet again, beaten by outsiders. Race 3 came in the places so brought a bit back. OBAD’s win selection was the one beaten by a plough puller & Ratchet gave us 2 winning selections, in Races 1 & 3. Mint Condition in Race 2 had a dreadful race, bearing in mind it was the favourite. Race 3 had a 1st place. So all in all, a very average day with wins, break evens & losses. On My Fav Goldmine, Race 1’s result should hopefully have been enough to hit your target.

TRIPLER

13.05 – Wincanton – Pozo Emery – (72) – Ridden by David Frost’s lass, Bryony. A drop down in distance but with a penalty. I reckon Bryony will do the job. WIN. RESULT – 2nd.

16.25 – Haydock – Mint Condition (71) – Has shown good form but is up against equally talented horses. Tempted to go for a win, but I think I will opt for a SPLIT. RESULT – 4th.

17.00 – Haydock – The World’s End – (67) – Amongst the front runners, but isn’t jumping out & smacking me in the chops. SPLIT. RESULT – 3rd.
