My new system, Doc’s Fav Goldmine, is showing plenty of promise and I have had several winners on the spin. My small stakes are increasing in size, due to a constant supply of winning selections 🙂 My DFG Bank is now really building nicely.
I stop betting if I hit my target of 2.5% (or as near as dammit.) Use your common sense – if you get close to your personal target, it’s your decision as to whether you want to carry on & go for it. Personally, I learned the harsh lesson of being greedy and many times, when just under target, I have “Gone for it,” only to lose the lot chasing bigger profits.

YESTERDAY’S SUMMARY
Not the best of starts to the day with Race 1 coming 5th. What a complete pleb! I hate it when Race 1 lets us down as the rest of the day is playing catch up. At least Races 2 & 3 brought us some fortune. OBAD was a blowout with Race 1’s appalling result. Ratchet was similar, with Race 1 losing and Races 2 & 3 trying to catch up. At least my Fav Goldmine got back on track with 2 places from 2 selections.

13.30 – Haydock – Llandinabo Lad (97) – Good race: Nico de Triumph Bonneville (ours) against Sam Twist Your Arm. VERY tight so I’m going for a SPLIT. RESULT – 5th.
14.10 – Taunton – Yala Enki (84) – A super horse with a wonderful future. WIN. RESULT – 1st.
15.35 – Ascot – Politaologue (77) – Harry H Cobden is a replacement jockey. I’m playing safe on this one – SPLIT. RESULT – 2nd.
