3rd June 2021 + Doc’s Fav Goldmine + Summary

** House Notes** Be careful if races start close to each other. You may not get the results of the race you placed a bet on before the next race starts, so do try to either watch a Live Feed of the race or “watch” the race in real-time at Betfair. **

For Tripler, OBAD, and Ratchet, I use the 3 selections generated by the HRP software, assess each one, and then say what I am going to do. Obviously, you can make your own decisions as to what you think the outcomes will be. Sometimes, the result of a previous race will dictate whether I stick with my predictions or not.

My new system, Doc’s Fav Goldmine, is showing plenty of promise and I have had several winners on the spin. My small stakes are increasing in size, due to a constant supply of winning selections 🙂 My DFG Bank is now really building nicely. As it’s 10% of the Betting Bank, any losses do hit hard but have always caught up rapidly before moving ahead again.

I stop betting if I hit my target of 2.5% (or as near as dammit.) Use your common sense – if you get close to your personal target, it’s your decision as to whether you want to carry on & go for it. Personally, I learned the harsh lesson of being greedy, and many times, when just under target, I have “Gone for it,” only to lose the lot chasing bigger profits.

It’s your call as to whether you take the early odds, hoping they will then go down, or wait until nearer the off hoping the odds have increased. The key thing to remember is a winner (or winners) at odds totaling 1.25 or above will hit your Daily Target. A profit of 2.5% per day will double your Bank in a month.

STAY SAFE FELLAS.

TODAY’S “JOCKEY OF THE DAY”: Ronnie Whelan. 15.05. Leopardstown. Sinawann.

Ball passer Ronnie had a fab day yesterday with his scorching midfield bursts. I’m hoping he will dominate today’s game and go on to score a last-minute winner. It’s the second time in two days that Big Ronnie has got my tip. Don’t let me down Ron or else you’ll be in the reserves next week. (A Liverpool player getting my vote again? Unbelievable.)

TODAY’S HRP SELECTIONS

TRIPLER

14.10 – Hamilton – Miquelon. (67) – Ran really well recently against very good opposition and today’s race is a drop-down in class. He should be able to overcome the challengers. WIN.

15.05 – Leopardstown – Sinawann. (71) – Hasn’t run for several months so, in my opinion, his joints may still be creaking. Big Ronnie Whelan is in the saddle so may be the deciding factor in him winning. However, for me, it’s a SPLIT.

18.45 – Thirsk – Belief. (67) – Fully expected to make all the running but is up against a good ‘un in Timeless Soul. I think he may do it. WIN.

OBAD

15.05 – Leopardstown – Sinawann. (71) – See Above.

DOC’S FAV GOLDMINE

All selections are in the PLACE market unless otherwise stated. Stop at a profit of 2.5% per day. (Or as near as.) Use 10% of your Bank as stake. If a loss happens, keep to the last stake and not 10% of the new, reduced Bank.

I am also showing the early Place Odds in brackets and the number of runners and the number of horses to be placed. It’s your decision as to whether or not you take the early odds or wait, hoping they will increase. The key thing to remember is a winner/winners at odds totaling 1.25 or above will hit your Daily Target. A profit of 2.5% per day will double your Bank every month.

Please be prepared to change your line of thinking – “on the hoof” so to speak – if the odds move dramatically. They may drift, thus making the selection a “No Bet”, or the odds may steam in, making it not worth taking the risk.

If you want to, you can omit any bets with odds below 1.25 (or thereabouts) and just concentrate on the bets over those odds. This reduces the number of bets but means if you get a winner, you have hit your target and can stop betting for the day, not having to risk any more money on another race. (It also means, however, if you get a loser, there will be fewer races left to recoup any losses.)

13.00 – Hamilton – Highland Premiere. (1.78 – 7 – 2)

15.10 – Ffos Las – Arcade Attraction. (1.28 – 4 – 2)

18.45 – Thirsk – Belief. (1.21 – 10 – 3)

20.00 – Chelmsford – Sea Empress. (1.14 – 12 – 3)

YESTERDAY’S SUMMARY (Dunno where yesterdays post went; I told you I’m no PC expert 🙂 )

What a stunning day for the 3 Blue Ribbon systems. Selections for Tripler, OBAD, and Ratchet all came 1st. Fabulous.

Doc’s Fav Goldmine finished the day 1.85% up but I thought Hollie Doyle was THE jockey of the year? She was absolutely bobbins and ruined what would have been a perfect day. 6th out of 11? A really pathetic attempt in my eyes. Beaten by horses at 16/1, 10/1, 11/1 and 50/1 doesn’t sound like the form of a jockey in form. Pull your kex up Hollie or I won’t pick you again for a while!! Useless.

TODAY’S “JOCKEY OF THE DAY”: Ronnie Whelan. 17.30. Curragh. Sonaiyla.

Jockey of the Day, Footballerist Ronnie Whelan ploughed his way with a dynamic run from midfield and put it away in the top corner, just as predicted. Way to go Ronnie Boy. 🙂 (Even though you did play for Liverpool.)

RATCHET – RESULTS – 1st, 1st, 1st.

I think todays profit will land well before the 4.30 race.

However, the HRP score for Barud (54) is significantly higher than Point L. (21). Barud has been backed down to 2,42 before rising again. Now they tie for fav. Considering the HRP difference my money would still be on Barud in this case, in addition he never traded above 3.05 in comparison to PL (started at 4.00), at the time of writing. Just my two cents.

Hi PerLind. Hollie Doyle let me down BADLY in Race 1. When I make my selections, rightly or wrongly, I keep things as simple as possible. As far as Horse Racing goes, I’m no expert, so if I start delving into the minutia of each race, it will totally wreck my brain and affect my choices.
