My new system, Doc’s Fav Goldmine, is showing plenty of promise and I have had several winners on the spin. I am only using small stakes but the signs are very promising. My DFG Bank is now really building nicely.
I stop betting if I hit my target of 2.5% (or as near as dammit.) Use your common sense – if you get close to your personal target, it’s your decision as to whether you want to carry on & go for it. Personally, I learned the harsh lesson of being greedy and many times, when just under target, I have “Gone for it,” only to lose the lot chasing bigger profits.

YESTERDAY’S SUMMARY
Not too bad. 2 x 1st places on the first 2 races did the biz on Tripler, but Star Gate was beaten into 2nd place so blew me out on OBAD. Ratchet obviously won, with 2 x 1st places and a 2nd place. Star of the show was my Fav Goldmine; 5 selections, 4 winners and a 2nd place.

13.10 – Doncaster – Sometimes Always. Won on its 4th attempt and showed great form with improvement due as well. Jockey is the demon barber, Sweeny Todd. WIN. RESULT – 1st.
13.50 – Leopardstown – Monkfish. Good old Pete Townsend is Rock ‘n Rolling on our steed. Pete won’t get fooled again. WIN. RESULT – 1st.
15.15 – Newbury – Star Gate. A few good ‘uns at the forefront here. It is our OBAD selection so I’m going for a victory, although it’s very tight at the top. WIN. RESULT – 2nd.
