** House Notes** Be careful if races start close to each other. You may not get the results of the race you placed a bet on before the next race starts, so do try to either watch a Live Feed of the race, or “watch” the race in real time at Betfair. **
For Tripler, OBAD and Ratchet, I use the 3 selections generated by the HRP software, assess each one and then say what I am going to do. Obviously, you can make your own decisions as to what you think the outcomes will be. Sometimes, the result of a previous race will dictate as to whether I stick with my predictions or not.
My new system, Doc’s Fav Goldmine, is showing plenty of promise and I have had several winners on the spin. My small stakes are increasing in size, due to a constant supply of winning selections 🙂 My DFG Bank is now really building nicely. Any losses do hit hard, as it’s 10% of the Betting Bank, but has always caught up rapidly before moving ahead again.
I stop betting if I hit my target of 2.5% (or as near as dammit.) Use your common sense – if you get close to your personal target, it’s your decision as to whether you want to carry on & go for it. Personally, I learned the harsh lesson of being greedy and many times, when just under target, I have “Gone for it,” only to lose the lot chasing bigger profits.
It’s your call as to whether you take the early odds, hoping they will then go down, or wait until nearer the off hoping the odds have increased. The key thing to remember is a winner (or winners) at odds totalling 1.25 or above will hit your Daily Target. A profit of 2.5% per day will double you Bank in a month.
STAY SAFE FELLAS.
TODAY’S “JOCKEY OF THE DAY”: David Bellamy. 13.50. Fontwell. Drakes Well.
TODAY’S HRP SELECTIONS
Be careful – Races 1 and 2 are VERY close together.
TRIPLER
13.50 – Fontwell – Drakes Well. (56) – Has let many people down with recent performances, so the owners have turned to the tree-hugging naturist, David Bellamy. Big Dave can coax a beetle out of a twig, so I feel sure he will be whispering in the ear of our selection. However, I doubt even Big Dave, (pictured above, wearing clothes and bragging about the size of his twig,) can conjure up a straightforward win. SPLIT
13.57 – Kelso – Trailboss. (107) – Ran a terrific race almost 4 weeks ago and still has plenty in the tank. He can go all the way in this one. WIN.
17.30 – Punchestown – Never Feel Blue. (69) – Ridden by Shawn Mullins, that colonial crooner of a bygone era. I think Shawn will be singing and strumming all the way to the chequered flag in this one. The race is in Ireland and good old Shawn like nothing more than a few gallons of the “Black Stuff.” WIN.
OBAD
13.57 – Kelso – Trailboss. (107) – See Above.

DOC’S FAV GOLDMINE
All selections are in the PLACE market, unless otherwise stated. Stop at a profit of 2.5% per day. (Or as near as.) Use 10% of your Bank as stake. If a loss happens, keep to the last stake and not 10% of the new, reduced Bank.
I am also showing the early Place Odds in brackets, together with the number of runners and the number of horses to be placed. It’s your decision as to whether or not you take the early odds or wait, hoping they will increase. The key thing to remember is a winner/winners at odds totalling 1.25 or above will hit your Daily Target. A profit of 2.5% per day will double you Bank every month.
Please be prepared to change your line of thinking – “on the hoof” so to speak – if the odds move dramatically. They may drift, thus making the selection a “No Bet”, or the odds may steam in, making it not worth taking the risk.
If you want to, you can omit any bets with odds below 1.25 (or thereabouts) and just concentrate on the bets over those odds. This reduces the number of bets but means if you get a winner, you have hit your target and can stop betting for the day, not having to risk any more money on another race. (It also means however, if you get a loser, there will be less races left to recoup any losses.)
13.50 – Fontwell – Drakes Well. (1.30 – 7 – 2)
13.57 – Kelso – Trailboss. (1.27 – 13 – 3)
14.55 – Navan – Malawi. (1.17 – 10 – 3)
YESTERDAY’S SUMMARY
Not our finest of days, only surpassed by Manchester City’s woeful display in the Champions’ League final. Two Manchester clubs (my home city) in the 2 premier European knock out competitions and both seemed incapable of playing anything like normal.
Losses on Tripler, OBAD and Ratchet. Doc’s Fav Goldmine produced some satisfaction, with winners in the first 2 races. I hit my target after Race 1 so I stuck to my guns and stopped betting for the day.
Our Jockey of the Day came up short. I think Hannibal Hayes was firing blanks from his Colt .45. Come on Hannibal, get to grips man!!
