** House Notes** Be careful if races start close to each other. You may not get the results of the race you placed a bet on before the next race starts, so do try to either watch a Live Feed of the race, or “watch” the race in real time at Betfair. **
For Tripler, OBAD and Ratchet, I use the 3 selections generated by the HRP software, assess each one and then say what I am going to do. Obviously, you can make your own decisions as to what you think the outcomes will be. Sometimes, the result of a previous race will dictate as to whether I stick with my predictions or not.
My new system, Doc’s Fav Goldmine, is showing plenty of promise and I have had several winners on the spin. My small stakes are increasing in size, due to a constant supply of winning selections 🙂 My DFG Bank is now really building nicely. Any losses do hit hard, as it’s 10% of the Betting Bank, but has always caught up rapidly before moving ahead again.
I stop betting if I hit my target of 2.5% (or as near as dammit.) Use your common sense – if you get close to your personal target, it’s your decision as to whether you want to carry on & go for it. Personally, I learned the harsh lesson of being greedy and many times, when just under target, I have “Gone for it,” only to lose the lot chasing bigger profits.
It’s your call as to whether you take the early odds, hoping they will then go down, or wait until nearer the off hoping the odds have increased. The key thing to remember is a winner (or winners) at odds totalling 1.25 or above will hit your Daily Target. A profit of 2.5% per day will double you Bank in a month.
STAY SAFE FELLAS.
TODAY’S “JOCKEY OF THE DAY”: Popeye Doyle. 15.55. Windsor. Faisal.
TODAY’S HRP SELECTIONS
TRIPLER
14.20 – Redcar – Blowing Wind. (67) – A large field for such a short race – this is what my nightmares are made of. One mistake/bump and it’s all over. Purely for this reason, for me, it’s a SPLIT.
16.25 – Punchestown – Fan De Blues. (63) – Doesn’t float my boat as a winner and is up against the mighty rocker, Richie Blackmore. SPLIT.
17.30 – Punchestown – Lunar Display. (77) – Once again, nothing jumps off the page & smacks me in the mush about this race. I’m going for my 3rd SPLIT.
OBAD
17.30 – Punchestown – Lunar Display. (77) – See Above.

DOC’S FAV GOLDMINE
All selections are in the PLACE market, unless otherwise stated. Stop at a profit of 2.5% per day. (Or as near as.) Use 10% of your Bank as stake. If a loss happens, keep to the last stake and not 10% of the new, reduced Bank.
I am also showing the early Place Odds in brackets, together with the number of runners and the number of horses to be placed. It’s your decision as to whether or not you take the early odds or wait, hoping they will increase. The key thing to remember is a winner/winners at odds totalling 1.25 or above will hit your Daily Target. A profit of 2.5% per day will double you Bank every month.
Please be prepared to change your line of thinking – “on the hoof” so to speak – if the odds move dramatically. They may drift, thus making the selection a “No Bet”, or the odds may steam in, making it not worth taking the risk.
If you want to, you can omit any bets with odds below 1.25 (or thereabouts) and just concentrate on the bets over those odds. This reduces the number of bets but means if you get a winner, you have hit your target and can stop betting for the day, not having to risk any more money on another race. (It also means however, if you get a loser, there will be less races left to recoup any losses.)
13.20 – Cartmel – Somewhat Cloudy. (1.29 – 7 – 3)
13.45 – Redcar – Greek Kodiak. (1.27 – 6 – 2)
14.55 – Redcar – Barging Thru. (1.28 – 9 – 3)
15.55 – Windsor – Faisal. (1.41 – 9 – 3)
16.45 – Cartmel – Benefaktor. (1.20 – 10 – 3)
YESTERDAY’S SUMMARY
Drakes Well won (I chose a Split) in Race 1, so not a bad start. However, both the win selections in Races 2 & 3 came 2nd, so a blow out for Tripler & OBAD. The 1st, 2nd & 2nd places made for a good day on Ratchet.
Race 1 on Doc’s Fav Goldmine was sufficient to hit my daily target so Job Done & I stopped for the day. However, should you have carried on – which personally, I DON’T anymore – you would have had a rather nice yield for the day 🙂
As far as Today’s Jockey of the Day went, I think that big Dave’s twig whispering tactics proved spot on. Not only did he coax a sweet victory from his trusty steed, but he won by, well, the photograph below shows the winning distance.
