YESTERDAY’S SUMMARY
Absolutely horrific day’s results. I haven’t seen so much red on my spreadsheet for a loooong time. My Bank took an absolute hammering. I just can’t get it into my bonce how the favourite – which means favourite to WIN – can get beaten by a 50/1 so-called no-hoper. I know these are animals but they are chosen as favourites for a reason.

13.30 – Southwell – Pogo I Am. Jockey is Sean Bowen; Jim’s lad. Hope he’s not a joker as well. SPLIT. RESULT – Pulled Up. To me, that means either the horse was injured (which I hope it wasn’t) or the so-called professional jockey gave up. Simply not good enough in my eyes.
14.15 – Goodwood – Yazaman. Place odds are pretty good, so should be a decent return with a win using a Split bet. SPLIT. RESULT – 2nd. At least it pulled back some of the idiotic Race 1’s loss.
19.00 – Musselburgh – Nastase. I hope this horse isn’t as argumentative as his tennis-playing namesake. WIN. RESULT – 3rd. Out of 6 runners. Beaten by 11/1 and 50/1 outsiders. It really makes my blood boil when these well fancied horses don’t perform.
