Firstly, I wonder how long Horse Racing will be carrying on until this too suffers from the pandemic?

14.10 – Kelso – Baboin. Not strongly fancied but has attractive Place odds. SPLIT. Charlie Price is the jockey. Better than Charlie Drake.
15.30 – Southwell – Exelerator Express. Tricky. I’ve heard the name Scudamore so he’s good. Not the favourite. I will wait for the result of Race 1 before deciding. Place odds seem very good. Probably a SPLIT.
16.50 – Hereford – The Edgar Wallace. A WIN on this one, although my nemesis, Twiston-Davies is on board a rival. David Bass is our jockey. Let’s hope he’s not a fish out of water! (Oooops.)

YESTERDAY’S SUMMARY
TRIPLER
14.30 – Carlisle – First Flow. 4 runners. With finishing odds of 1/16, I didn’t think the risk was worth taking for a bet, especially bearing in mind what happened to Goshen at Cheltenham. NO BET.
15.45 – Limerick – Salsaretta. This horse has won for us before. Hotly tipped so it’s a WIN for me. Duly won but target not hit. So carry on to Race 3.
17.20 – Limerick – Stattler. Very close at the top of the betting. My choice was to WAIT & see what happened in the previous race. I went for a SPLIT as it would hit target if it won. It came 2nd so a small loss. If I had gone for a WIN,I would have suffered a much larger loss, so happy at the eventual outcome.
Overall, a winning day on Tripler although target not hit. But that doesn’t bother me as a win’s a win 🙂
