17.30 – Uttoxeter – Longhouse Sale. 5 Runners. 4 are neck and neck with one real outsider pleb. (He’ll probably win!) Place odds not too bad and a win on a split bet would hit target. SPLIT. RESULT – 1st. Even with a split bet, I hit target. Job Done. No more Tripler betting for me today. Apologies for being a coward and not going for a win, but I’m not greedy and if i can hit my target with a split bet, I will do so.
17.45 – Kilbeggan – Santana Plessis. Large field with 3 leading the way. Ours is favourite but not by much. Place odds not brilliant so I will wait for the outcome of Race 1. I may have to go with a win. WAIT. RESULT – 2nd. I didn’t place a bet as I had stopped, but a split bet would have at least minimised any loss or maybe have made a small profit.
19.30 – Uttoxeter – Captain Tom Cat. Only 3rd hurdles of his career but a C & D winner last time out against strong opposition. WIN. RESULT – 1st.
