TODAY’S SELECTIONS
TRIPLER (Only 2 selections – I guess it’s because a meeting has been abandoned due our our wonderful weather.)
15.00 – Newcastle – Pitcher’s Point – 10 runners. Near the top of the betting but not a clear favourite – SPLIT.
16.05 – Newcastle – Clarey Blue – A short sprint & Clarey Blue is head & shoulders in front. WIN.
OBAD
See 16.05 above.
RATCHET
As usual. 10% of Bank with a stop at 2.5% (or as near as dammit.)
YESTERDAY’S SUMMARY
In the 1st race, Mick Pastor was a Win selection & duly obliged, This meant I hit my 2.5% target on Tripler, so no further betting on the Tripler. Slightly under my target on Ratchet and normally, I would have stopped. However, as the 2nd race only had 5 runners & Thai Terrier was highly favoured, I rightly or stupidly, went for a 10% Bank Stake on this 2nd race. Only paid out on 2 places & fortunately, Thai Terrier came 2nd. This produced a wonderful result and gave me a profit in excess of 6%. No 3rd bet on Ratchet. Only OBAD left to round off a terrific day.
The OBAD selection – Soldier’s Minute – was odds on favourite in only a 5 runner race. So, guess what? The dimbo came 4th! How on earth can this happen? Strong favourite, 5 runners & it came 4th? It beggars belief.
So, after nice wins on Tripler & Ratchet, we were let down by OBAD. (I even went for a Split bet to minimise my risk but not eve that was good enough for this bozo.)
Rob, just joined, can you tell me why my OBAD and tripler are different to your selections?
Hi Matt. When I logged on yesterday, there were only 2 selections, both at Newcastle. I therefore placed my bets using those selections. An hour later, I logged on again & there were 3 totally different selections. I stuck with the ones I had already used. I think there was a software/website update which was completed mid morning, hence the different selections.
Okay thanks
