14.55 – Southwell – Badayal. Only 5 runners. Has come 2nd in its’ last 4 outings & is now due a success. WIN.
17.30 – Kempton – Omnivega. 12 runners. Ours is favourite but the odds say it’s not a red hot choice. If I haven’t hit target on Race 1, I’m going for a SPLIT.

YESTERDAY’S SUMMARY
Indian Affair placed 3rd so I got a return on my Split bet. In the 2nd race, Night Voyager came in 2nd, so with my Split bet, I got another return. On Race 3, I used Gav’s spreadsheet & it worked out that if I did another Split bet & the horse won, it would be Job Done. If it came 2nd, I would have slightly missed target but I wouldn’t have risked a Win bet loss. I decided to change my initial selection and go for a Split. Lua De Mel won, giving me a return on both the Win and Place elements.
TRIPLER – I ended up doing 3 SPLIT bets but still beat my 2.5% target. I actually ended up with a profit of 4.09%.
OBAD – The decent-ish odds for the place gave me a tiny profit. But that’s better than a tiny loss.
RATCHET – The odds on Race 1 were good for the place and I made a profit of 6.2% on the 1st race. No more betting for me.
Superb day’s results despite the horrendous weather conditions. Even though the 2 meetings were not on grass, I was sorely tempted not to do any betting today as I am sure the horses hate these conditions as much as we do and form might have gone out of the window.
